Ehh, I might as well make one of these. I need something to post here anyway.

---

I've been doing a bunch of thinking lately about who the heck they would put into the next installment of Super Smash Brothers, which is being made for the 3DS and the Wii U eventually. And there aren't nearly as many characters that could just be put in since Brawl's introduction. So I've come down with a few characters that have a better chance of getting in when compared to most others.

We'll start, shall we? Use this keycode to get to the franchise of your choice.

Note: I'll try my best to add in moveset potential where I can. For those that I cannot figure out, I'll try to edit this journal post with potential moves whenever possible.

----------------------
[M1] Mario Series
----------------------

------
Toad
------

Toad has been around since Mario's split-off beginning in Super Mario Bros., always helping out our plumber hero by saying the annoying phrase "Thank you, but our princess is in another castle.". Personally, I'm surprised Mario didn't plow his fist into the fourth Toad that said that. I know I would have. However, that isn't the point of Toad being on my list. Toad's been around since the beginning, and has helped Mario in pretty much every Mario game. He's even been a playable character in Super Mario Bros. 2 and as two playable characters out of four in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Toad has also been in a lot of the Party games, Kart games, and the other Sports games. Pretty much, if you can play as more than Mario or Luigi, chances are you can play as Toad in them.

This common inclusion of Toad allows him to have a multitude of moves that could be at his potential. Now, I don't remember all of the things Toad has done overtime, so ear with me when I only name a few he could do. To keep things simple for myself, I'm going to list Mushroom items for attacks <__<;;

- Golden Shroom: Toad and Toadette's signature item in "Mario Kart: Double Dash", which was, before Double Dash as well as after, able to be used by anyone else. It allowed the solid use of mushroom power (which is used as a speed boost) for about ten seconds or so. Toad could whip out this magical mushroom, gulp it down and then rocket forth in the direction he was facing at a blinding speed. The move could be L-Cancelled during a certain frame, allowing the boost to be cut short. It would probably go the same distance as Fox's Illusion Fox.

- Propeller Shroom: Toad could whip out the Propeller Shroom from New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and spin up into the air rapidly at a 75-80 degree angle, and be able to slowly descend to the battle again. Or, if you held down the B button, would make you rocket straight down. You could easily just tap the B button now and then as well, for multiple smaller hits compared to the larger single hit.

- Volt Shroom: Toad digests a Volt Shroom, which originates from Paper Mario: Thousand-Year Door. With his body charged with electricity, anyone who hits Toad with a move that makes contact with him will shock his opponent for light damage. Also, anyone else who is charged with electricity (such as another Toad) won't hurt you while charged.

- Mega Shroom: I imagine this as Toad's Final Smash, he eats a Mega Shroom, and becomes a giant. I'd say about the Bowser's size from that New Pork City challenge map in Brawl. While moving slowly, he has access to all of his prvious moves, which have more knockback and damage added to them. However, when the Final SMash is over, Toad would shrink down to a Lightning-sized version of himself for fifteen seconds, leaving him helpless to enemy attacks. The Final Smash portion would last thirty seconds.

Trust me, he has move capabilities. I'm just bad at thinking of which ones to pick for him. <__<

-------------
Bowser Jr.
-------------

Prince Bowser Koopa Junior, more commonly known as Bowser Jr., has been a fan favorite, and has appeared in many of the Sport games, as well as been an antagonist in most of the Mario games since Sunshine's debut. Bowser Jr. fans compete against Toad fans to see which character deserves a position. I'm not going to take sides for either of them, so I'm posting on grounds of neutrality. Both have good movepool chances, and both have appeared in many games. Let's see what Bowser Jr. brings to the table:

- Paintbrush weapon: This pretty much would be his A moves, very much how Link's A moves are the use of his sword. The paintbrush, if hitting with the tip, maybe could have a chance of coating the opponent's feet with the sticky glop, slowing their movement speed down, and disabling their jump for a few seconds.

- Spinning Keep: Well, Bowser's got Whirling Fortress, so I had to think of something less powerful. It'd work like Bowser's, except faster and allowing higher vertical recovery. When used on the ground, it could act like Squirtle's Withdraw.

- Sonic Scream: Bowser Jr.'s newest move would have to be Sonic Scream, which debuts from Mario Strikers Charged. He sends out an ear-piercing scream, disabling opponents on the spot if hit by it. This allows for him to rush over and begin his assault.

- Fireball Blast: Bowser Jr. would shoot out a fireball or two from his mouth, with similar power and knockback of Mario's. Nothing else to say here.

- Koopa Clown Car: Used as his final smash, Jr. would jump into it and toss weak Bob-Ombs out of it down at his foes. Would work similarly to the controls of Diddy's Final Smash.

------------------
[D2] DK Series
------------------

---------------
King K. Rool
---------------

With the inclusion of Diddy Kong, the King K. Rool fans screamed for his inclusion. I don't blame them. He's been a DK villain for ages, and probably has more moveset potential than Diddy Kong did. Not only that, but he's he most stylish. I mean, he's got a shiny crown! Now, I'm no genius when it comes to this stuff, but ehh whatever. I'll give it a shot.

King K. Rool would have probably as many gizmos and gadgets as Link or Snake have in Brawl. He's got his Cannon from when he's Kapn K. Rool, and his shiny futuristic gadgets from when he's Franken K. Rool. He's also got a nice staff from when he was a pharoh or something in Super Mario Sluggers. Not to mention he's made an appearance or two in Mario games, whereas most other Kongs haven't. He's also the most commonly fought villain in the Donkey Kong series, while most other bosses only make one appearance per game.

Not much else to bring up for K. Rool. Moving on.

-----------------------------------
[Z3] Legend of Zelda Series
-----------------------------------

-------
Tingle
-------

Yeah, as much as I hate to admit it, Tingle is the most likely, due to his popularity in Japan, and having his own spin-off games there. I don't really like Tingle, but he's got a good chance. However, I only think he'll be added as a last resort. Moveset potential is completely unknown to me, as I've never played one of his games. Sorry Tingle fans.

------
Vaati
------

Only other character I can see with a chance getting in would be Vaati, as he's an antagonist and has had more than one video game appearance, but not by much (I want to think three times at the most). As with Tingle, I have no idea what moveset potential he could have, other than his Final Smash being Final Vaati or whatever the heck he's called.

---------------------
[K4] Kirby Series
---------------------

----
N/A
----

Yeah, you heard me. The Kirby franchise is pretty much filled up. No one else would make a good enough fit to be added. This is primarily due to Kirby, Metaknight and Dedede usually being the only ones focused on throughout the Kirby franchise and aren't stuck under the "commonfolk" clause, like the Waddle Dees are.

--------------------------
[P5] Pokemon Series
--------------------------

-------
Victini
-------

The victory Pokemon, people believe that Victini has a high chance of being i the next Smash due to it being in themost recent movie to date. However, by the time the next Pokemon ovie comes out, there could be a chance that some other Pokemon could be the leading star in that, replacing Victini from this title. Victini would be yet another small Pokemon, probably about Pikachu and Jigglypuff's height, but be a fire type with the power of a psychic. I used a Victini through my first playthrough for awhile, but stopped at around the seventh gym. It wasn't entirely useful, in my opinion. Only helped for the Bug gym and the Ice gyms. *shrugs* Still, anything to replace Lucario, who's playstyle I absolutely HATE in Brawl. Such a ridiculous addition...

----------
Zoroark
----------

Due to people believing Mewtwo was replaced by Lucario, they think Zoroark will replace Lucario in SM4SH. Makes sense in an oddball way. However, just likle how Lucario hardly shared movesets with Mewtwo, Zoroark would share either. Zoroark also has a completely unique ability in Pokemon, known as Illusion. This ability allows the physical replication of a teammate. In SM4SH however, I imagine that it would work differently, if implemented at all. The file of Zoroark would be replaced with the duplicate file of the opponent at the beginning of the match, save for  a special meter. The first 50% of damage obtained to Zoroark would destroy the illusion, causing Zoroark to obtain all of its regular moves again, which would rely on its claws and dark-typed energy. If they did this, it'd be the best way to implement the fox Pokemon.

------------
Genesect
------------

Any Pokemon fan who's also a Super Smash Brothers fan can see that Genesect would be a magnificent addition to the roster. While its movepool in-game is pretty limited on the Physical spectrum, Genesect would likely be the Megaman of the Pokemon franchise, in the sense that he has a ton of ranged attacking power. Moves such as Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam and his signature Techno Buster, which is capable of being Fire, Water, Electric, or Fire typed. Of course, you can just leave it as is for a Normal-typed attack. It's pretty nifty, and being the first cyborg of Pokemon is a pretty neat thing.

------------------------
[M6] Metroid Series
------------------------

-------
Ridley
-------

This had to be said. Ridley is the biggest fan outcry out there, I think. Ridley has been wanted in since Melee, and the closest we've gotten has to be the boss battles, which everyone was furious about. Ridley needs to be playable. The villain quota MUST be filled. However, another antagonist might have a chance of getting in. WHo you might ask?

---------------
Dark Samus
---------------

Probably the most ridiculous addition to the Metroid series, the Metroid Prime that turned into a Phazon replica of our heroine. I don't like her personally, but a lot of people do. I've also never really fought Dark Samus so I have no idea how she'd fight. I don't imagine her being overly original, but I'm more than likely wrong.

---------------------------------------
[E7] Earthbound/Mother Series
---------------------------------------

----------------
Masked Man
----------------

Probably the only other character who will have a chance of being from the Mother and Earthbound series. This is only because of his close connection with Lucas. I really don't have much to say about him, due to never playing the series.

-----------------------------
[F8] Fire Emblem Series
-----------------------------

----------------
Black Knight
----------------

Black Knight, Ike's enemy in Path of Radiance, is being asked for by fans, but as a slow swordsman, I'd just imagine him being a n even stronger and slower Ike, which we don't really need. The other Fire Emblem character has a better chance for a couple of reasons.

-----
Lyn
-----

Lyn was the star of her own game, as well as being the second female swordsman representing the Fire Emblem series (I mean really. Marth just went all fabulous on us with that friggin' tiara. Can't take him seriously.) She's also been an assist trophy that was well appreciated, so I see her chances being pretty good.

-----------------------
[Z9] F-Zero Series
-----------------------

-----------------
Black Shadow
-----------------

Black Shadow is being asked for as a replacement of Ganondorf's Captain Falcon moveset, which makes sense. I have NO IDEA why they made Ganondorf a clone of Captain Falcon. Two entirely different series. Also, it would allow Ganondorf to use one of his many swords as a weapon, completely removing any need for Black Knight from Fire Emblem to even make an appearance.

-------------------
Samurai Goroh
-------------------

Samurai Goroh has a good chance, having previously been an Assist Trophy. Having the name of "Samurai", Goroh of course will use a sword (Oh boy), but should hopefully have a unique attacking style with it. So far, none of the swordsmen are aggressive attackers, and have all been neutral or good aligned characters. This allows Samurai Goroh a good spot.

---------------------------
[S10] Star Fox Series
---------------------------

---------
Krystal
---------

I don't want to admit it, but Krystal has a chance of getting in, due to the Star Fox franchise habit of getting one character added per Smash game. She would (hopefully) fight with her staff, which would make her far more unique when compared to the rest of the Star Fox representatives. She'd also be another female character addition, and I don't see anyone else really deserving of the spot other than her.

--------------------------------
[W11] WarioWare Series
--------------------------------

-----
N/A
-----

Same goes here as went with Kirby. I don't think there's really anyone who could be placed here of major importance. I might be mistaken of course. Moving on.

-----------------------------
[K12] Kid Icarus Series
-----------------------------

----------
Medusa
----------

Medusa seems to be a fan favorite since Kid Icarus: Uprising's announcement for the 3DS. I can see why, as it's a resurrection of a once-thought dead series that people must have enjoyed for it to make a comeback. I have no idea what her moveset would be, other than paralysis-based moves because of how Medusa worked in Greek mythology.

----------
Magnus
----------

Fan outcry for this new character makes me frown. We have a good amount of swordsmen, and with Ganondorf and Ike being heavy swordsmen (if all turns out right), I don't see a point in making Magnus another one. Whatever though. Fan outcry might make him playable.

----------------------------
[A13] Assorted Series
----------------------------

-----
Saki
-----

Saki form Sin and Punishment. With the inclusion as an Assist Trophy in Brawl, and a newer game, Saki has a decent chance of getting in. While being a sowrdmen as well, thankfully Saki has a unique thing in the fact that the sword is also part gun, allowing for a mixed style of fighting.

--------
Lil Mac
--------

Lil Mac, another oldie character who's been brought back from the grave, was also an Assist Trophy, and has a unique style of fighting, in the fact that he's a boxer. I've seen movesets around where he uses all sorts of different boxing moves, which all seemed like it'd make sense with a boxer. I say he's got a good shot at this.

-------------
Ray Mk III
-------------

An oddball series that I may be biased about, I think Ray would make a great addition to the franchise, and representing a robot-fighting hologram game or whatever the heck you'd call it. Ray would be a small fighter, but pack a nice punch. He'd be the perfect example of a glass cannon character, with heavy reward for heavy risk.

--------------
Mach Rider
--------------

Another probably biased pick, but a retro character none-the-less. Mach Rider would use a close-quarters fighting style, combined with use of his motorcycle, which he could call to him whenever like Wario does. I would rather have Wario use his Warioland charge attack as his side B attack, like how a lot of smash flash games do that, as well as other projects.

------------------------------
[T14] Third Party Series
------------------------------

------------------
Snake & Sonic
------------------

I see these two characters making a return, as they bridged the gap between Nintendo All-Stars and All-Stars as a whole. They are the bridge that will lead over other 3rd Party characters. These characters, as likely as they'll be, are...

------
Slime
------

*See Megaman*

------------
Megaman
------------

I don't know what either character would bring to the table, as I never really played either series in their entirety. I'm a really bad gamer. ^^;; Many fans are wanting them though, and it's the only real characters I see standing a chance of fitting into the fighter franchise.

----------------

Jeez. That's longer than I wanted it to be. I'll get together some more characters for a second part, whenever I feel like posting it. Hope you all enjoyed the read that progressively gets smaller. <__<;;
